what i mean by sense is it tells the pcm to power up for active duty. If your ECM has called it quits, you have a way. - Turns out that a previous owner had put a 20A (supposed to be a 10A) fuse in the the ECM system, and it finally blew. that fuse runs powers the injectors, crank sensor, ignition coil, ignition control module and ecm power on sense.
It’s not unreasonable to see ECM repairs in excess of 1,500 or 2,000. In addition to the replacement module cost, you should expect several hundred dollars in diagnosis, replacement, and programming. Has anyone heard or seen this before? Just from googling, I've heard it could be anything from my ECU being opened to be tuned, a short in the alternator, or a short in the fuel pump. Your ECM repair cost could likely be more than you want to spend on your car.
